Well it is coming round again. This month, Hades is not on this
Saturday so the munch will run until the pub shuts and beyond (to a
restaurant) if need be.

if you fancy chatting to a philosophy student who is probably more
confused about practical things like transport links and timings than
you are. And if you want moral support to take the plunge then just
remember: it really is just a normal meeting of a bunch of people in a
pub and you aren't expected to do anything at all or even reveal
anything you don't feel like talking about. Most people start off by
talking about the weather. Or Information Technology.

I will arrive there from between 5PM and 6PM depending on how rapidly
my latest essay is getting done. Arrive early if you want to be
introduced to a small manageable number of people first before the
whole crowd arrive (it is never more than 30).

This is also the last munch that has been scheduled (if we had kept to
the third saturday of the month, the December munch would have been on
Xmas day). So I will be "consulting" with anyone interested whether
they think we should do anything different next year before I begin
negotiations for booking the room for the coming months. Should we
continue as we are on a Saturday and sometimes be steamrollered by a
large club night (thereby making the munch a feeder event), or should
we move to a week night? We can also organise a December meet up if
there is call for it.
